Film is Sheridan’s first love. Sheridan made history when, at the tender age of 11, she became the youngest person in Australia to ever receive funding from the Australian Film Commission.

Much of Sheridan’s screenplay writing and development has been with best friend and long time collaborator Jeanette Wildwood. The pair has formed Once & Future Films.

Dubbed “the Cohen sisters” Sheridan and Jen met at Sydney’s Ensemble Studios in Pitt Street where they attended Junior Acting Classes – they were 12 and 13 respectively. The pair lost touch in their mid-teens but reunited when, synchronistically, they both enrolled for the Ensemble Studios full time acting course as young adults.

"Everyone else was focused on their performances while Jen and I were huddled up the back discussing screenplay ideas," Sheridan explains. "Right from the first time I met her, Jen was clear she wanted to be a Director and in the final year at the Ensemble she was mentored by (the late) Hayes Gordon himself! I was more the auteur, I could never decide between writing, directing and acting … I wanted to do it all."

In recent years Sheridan’s husband Greg Hose has contributed to the creative pool as a composer, sound designer and recordist.

Jen is currently an editor at the ABC Adelaide having graduated from MAPS (Media Arts Production Skills), earning herself a Distinction in the Advanced year and collecting a swag of nominations for her short films along the way.

Sheridan recently earned her Directors stripes working on 2 pilot episodes of a children’s TV show that includes narrative, music video and mind-blowing science experiments.
